Our Services

Safe Passages provides transition services to individuals discharging from primary treatment and addicts in recovery traveling to or living in an environment that  threatens sobriety. Our certified personal recovery assistants are qualified, experienced individuals who are familiar with addiction and self destructive behavior. A Safe Passages Certified Personal Recovery Assistant, (CPRA), provides on-site guidance, mentoring and support to clients prior, during, and following treatment. Our consultants are required to have professional addiction treatment experience.

Our staff will provide sober escorts for protective transport to and from treatment facilities. Our escorts can also safely accompany clients to other facilities when the treatment team recommends a different programs  that would more appropriate to the needs of the client. We will escort clients to court, medical or other appointments while clients are in primary or continuing care. Our presence can provide accountability to the client with issues around medication. A CPRA can establish credibility for the clients commitment for recovery and change when they go before the courts. We have experienced consultants to work with clients with physical and mental challenges that have addiction issues.

As sober companions, Safe Passages CPRAs will reside with clients when they are unable or unwilling to accept recommendations for residential continuing care. Many of our clients travel in their work or for family obligations to environments that have the potential to threaten sobriety and emotional well-being. We will accompany the client from the time of preparation to travel through to their return home to their primary sober supports. We will create the sober living environment.

Coaching clients in sober living goals and during times of transition is also a valuable and needed service for our clients. Years of addiction have diminished self esteem and buried life goals. Clients have little experience or confidence in meeting challenges and goals without the preoccupation and use of substances. Often, the clients will need concrete and specific interventions to establish a sober living environment and a holistic schedule. A Safe Passages sober coach can assist in a doable, structured and individualized plan for a successful sober life.

Safe Passages does not, nor are its personnel retained to provide treatment or therapy. As a condition of employment, we require that all prospective clients have a treatment coordinator familiar with the client’s individual case, and able to provide direction to Safe Passages personnel regarding the client’s treatment.

A treatment coordinator is defined as a professional chosen by the client, family member, parent, guardian or other designated representative who is the case manager for the client.
